Tressa
Tressa began her Pilates journey in 2002. After a few car accidents and a lot of
standing and working as a hairdresser, she was introduced to Pilates to remedy back
pain. She found that strengthening our core and correcting our posture can give
us so much more freedom to move however we like. The additional body
awareness is super helpful in daily life and functional movement as well. Initially
she practiced in a very classical style which she still loves to reference through
her choices in choreography. After a few years of practice in NYC, she found that
all of the instructors she'd been loyally following were Kane School certified, so in
2018 she signed up to become one of them too. She favors really feels good
workouts that include a lot of stretching. She likes to use movement to make
people feel good, strong, open, and empowered.
